Little
Rock Scripture Bible Study
Little Rock Scripture Bible Study meets for approximately one hour per week in the daytime to study a book or theme of the Bible. The materials used are Catholic Bible studies. The group meets starting in the Fall and the schedule is flexible to the group members.
The number of weeks of each study varies, but each lesson generally requires one or two hours of outside preparation. There are no attendance requirements or homework "checks" but most participants have found they don't like to miss the group discussion or not do the homework. Each study stands on its own, so many of us "come and go" depending on our personal schedules. What is said is confidential to the group, and the group picks the next study as a group. We generally finish two or three studies a (school) year.
The study for Fall, 2004 is The Acts of the Apostles. The one requirement for the daytime group is that you are female. (Sorry, fellas; we haven't actually had any complaints!) . Watch the bulletin around the end of August for a "formal" announcement.
There has been some interest in starting an evening group.
